Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify setting of discharge pressure and reduce discrepancy in the scope of regulation due to assembly error of a discharge pressure regulator used for a mouth cleaner, by facilitating setting of the regulating scope of discharge pressure at the time of assembly.
CONSTITUTION: When a regulating knob 14 is turned to set a point where the maximum discharge pressure is produced, steps 29a, 29b formed by ends of inclined surfaces 22a, 22b respectively which are made on a flange 20 and partition wall 10 of a valve 8 is brought to contact with each other, and a counterflow gap 9 is blocked by the flange 20. In this state, counterflow from a compression chamber 5 to a suction chamber 3 is produced only at a check valve 6. Since the discharge pressure of the pump is maximum at this moment, regulation of discharge pressure is simplified.
