Abstract
PURPOSE:To lessen the deterioration of focusing by making the number of turns of a blue lateral coil less than that of a correcting coil and by fixing their winding directions so that magnetic forces of both the coils will oppose to each other in the diameter direction on the circumferential surface. CONSTITUTION:The number of turns of blue lateral coil 8 is made less than that of correcting coil 9. Then, red and green electron beams R and G are made to agree at point W through a radial static coil and blue electron beam B is made closer to point W by radial static coil. Next, as beam B is laterally moved by varying currents of blue lateral coil 8 and correcting coil 9 to agree with point W, beams R and G move toward beam B and focus on point W''. Therefore, since only the small correction extent of beam B is required, the deterioration of focusing is improved and its adjustment is facilitated.
