Abstract

PURPOSE: Multifilaments which are produced by spinning simultaneously different kinds of multicore conjugate fibers containing different number of cores, thus having well- controlled fiber thickness and cross section modification and giving very natural touch and deep luster.
CONSTITUTION: For example, filaments containing more cores are arranged on the peripheral part and other filaments containing less cores are arranged in the center part. Or filaments having largely modified cross section are arranged on the peripheral part and other filaments are arranged in the center part to produce denier- mix or cross section-mix yarns. The ratio of the maximum to minimum in filament thickness of the yarns is 2 or less and the ratio of the maximum to minimum in the core thickness is 1.5 or more. The thickness of the core part contains both of 1.0 denier or less and 1.0 denier or more. The objective yarns are produced by usual method.
