Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A horizontal rotator 2 having a polishing surface 1 of grindstone which is strong to abrasion and is hard and the specified spacing 3 in which granular materials and sand can move freely are formed by a horizontal rotator 4 having the revolving polishing surface 1 opposing thereto or fixed wall surface and sand and granular materials are charged into said spacing 3 through a feed port 5. Then, part of the surfaces of the sand and granular material contact the revolving polishing surface 1 to chip, grind and scarf the surface, at the same instant of which the granular materials and sand are moved while revolutions are being given. With the opposing system, the motion making contact with the polishing surface 1 of one rotator 4 is also repeatedly done. The similar result is also obtainable even by employing vertical type or horizontally opposing discs for the rotators 2, 4.
