Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the fixing temperature at nearly a fixed level regardless of fluctuation of the power supply voltage, by giving a control to the time of conduction each time to the high- luminance radiant light source in accordance with the voltage fluctuation of the AC power source.
CONSTITUTION: When the DC voltage corresponding to the voltage of the AC power source A emerges at the capacitor 4c of the voltage compensating circuit 4, the output of the operational amplifier 4d produces the voltage having a level which reversely corresponds to the power supply voltage. As a result, the IC element 4f generates the pulse having a duration which is adversely proportional to the power supply voltage. With this pulse, the 2-way thyristor 2 is triggered via the gate control circuit 5 and the zero-phase detecting circuit 3, and thus the time of conduction is controlled each time in accordance with the power supply voltage for the halogen lamp 1 which forms the high radiant light source. Accordingly, the fixing temperature can be maintained nearly at a fixed level for the fixing unit and regardless of fluctuation of the power supply voltage.
