Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to move the reader straight even if the device body is inclined, by supporting pivotally the rotation axis of a running roller by the support material provided rotatably for the device body and by compressing a rotary disc for timing pulse generation to the roller. CONSTITUTION:Support materials which support pivotally rotation axes 14a and 15a of running rollers 14 and 15 are rotatable for device body 1 by shafts 16 and 17 respectively. The circumference face of rotary disc 2 in timing pulse generating unit TPG is compressed to the circumference face of longer running roller 14. As a result, the reader can always move straight for movement in the subscanning direction even if device body 1 is inclined.
