Abstract
PURPOSE:To compact a whole construction of a system by withstanding a rest bed for a body to be positioned, by means of an actuator system with six degrees of freedom related to three-dimensional rectangular coordinates, and driving and controlling said actuator system for standing in position. CONSTITUTION:A truck 6 on which a car body 8 is mounted is transferred by a conveyer 2 and stopped close to the center of a positioning mechanism 43. The position of the car body 8 does not meet a predetermined position. When the operations of cylinders 33, 34, 35, and 36 are initiated synchronously with said stopping to raise the appropriate piston rods to a certain distance, a rest bed 40 lifts the car body 8 to the distance. Each of position detecting sensors 49, 53 which are preset in positions detects the position of the car body and generates a control signal. The on/ off or comparison operation of a flow rate of working fluid to be supplied for each cylinder 23, 24, 25, 33, 34, 35, and 36 is controlled in response to the above signal for locating the car body 8 at a required position.
