Abstract

PURPOSE:To compact a whole construction of a system by withstanding a rest bed for a body to be positioned, by means of an actuator system with six degrees of freedom related to three-dimensional rectangular coordinates, and driving and controlling said actuator system for standing in position. CONSTITUTION:A truck 6 on which a car body 8 is mounted is transferred by a conveyer 2 and stopped close to the center of a positioning mechanism 43. The position of the car body 8 does not meet a predetermined position. When the operations of cylinders 33, 34, 35, and 36 are initiated synchronously with said stopping to raise the appropriate piston rods to a certain distance, a rest bed 40 lifts the car body 8 to the distance.
