Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the processing performance of the whole unit, by automatically deleting a character for synchronism establishment received following the synchronism establishment. CONSTITUTION:Characters received via signal line 109 are supplied to character composing/decomposing circuit 7, which composes one received character, which is transferred to character buffer 4. This received character is temporarily stored in buffer 4 and, at the same time, sent to comparing circuit 5 to compare it to a previously assigned specific character. On detecting a synchronism-establishing character, circuit 5 informs synchronism-establishment detecting circuit 6 of that. When a fixed number of synchronism-establishing characters are detected, circuit 6 informs circuit connection control circuit 3 that the synchronization has been attained. Until the synchronism is established, circuit 3 instructs buffer 4 to interrupt the transfer of received characters to circuit control part 1. After the synchronism-establishment, following received characters are compared by circuit 5, which when the synchronism-establishing character is found, informs circuit 3 of that while circuit 3 instructs buffer 4 to interrupt the transfer of received characters to control part 1.
