Abstract
PURPOSE: To form an excellent-S/N hologram at a high speed by continuously feeding an extremely small hologram on a diffusion plate by a rediffraction optical system by way of a linearly recorded holographic beam splitter.
CONSTITUTION: Through collimator lens 13, a ray of light from laser light source 11 scans on extremely small holograms 20 on holographic beam splitter 14 sequentially by light deflector 12. The holograms are Fourier transform holograms of the information diffusing holograms and the image of the diffusing plate is formed at reference light spot 21 and information input part 22 of information input element 16 and Fourier- transformed again together with the information on tape-shaped recording medium 18 through Fourier transform lens 17, so that it will be recorded as extremely small hologram 23. Beam splitter 14 and recording medium 18 are conjugate to transform lenses 15 and 17 (rediffraction optical system) and hologram formation becomes possible through the continuous feed system.
