Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain high precision developing-agent concentration detection by making uniform the supply of a developer to the detection part consisting of a detecting element and detector, by providing a supply limiting body to the supply intake of a developer supply body that supplies the developer. CONSTITUTION:In supplementing room 10a obtained by sectioning developer supply body 10, a supplementary toner is contained. At the bottom part of supplementing room 10a, supplementary intake 11 obtained by notching upper wall surface 1a of main body 1 is provided in the forward direction and toner supplementing roller 12 is arranged there. Further, supplementing intake 11 is fitted with beltlike shielding plate 13 of width size A as a supply limiting body to cover the outer circumferential surface that corresponds to the detection part of toner supplementing roller 12, limiting the toner to be supplied from the part to the detection part by way of supplementing intake 11 over region A.
