Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve measuring accuracy at high temperatures, by forming the fulcrum to support a test piece and the pressing pivot to apply load to the test piece by using sintered ceramic.
CONSTITUTION: A nitride such as Si3N4, an oxynitride such as Si3ON2, a carbide such as SiC and an oxide such as Al2O3 can be used as sintered ceramic which makes up fulcrums 1a and 1b and pressing point 3. To form the fulcrum and pressing point with sintered ceramic, dovetail grooves 8a, 8b and 9 are provided on the pressure-receiving section 2 and the pressurizing section 4, with the installation of the pressure-receiving rods 12a and 12b and pressurizing rod 13 which are composed of sintered ceramic and equipped with projections 10a, 10b and 11. The pressure-receiving section 2 and pressurizing section 4 formed together with the above fulcrums 1a and 1b and pressing point 3 can be obtained through injection molding and heat sintering of ceramic powder. The above constitution enables high hardness to be kept even under high temperature, thus improving measuring accuracy.
