Abstract
PURPOSE: To lower noises and lengthen the life of the performance of bearing by a method wherein lubricating oil is fed to an end surface portion of a shaft by rotatory centrifugal force action of an oil thrower washer fastened to the shaft in the bearing device receiving thrust load transmitted to the shaft.
CONSTITUTION: Lubricating oil lubricating the bearing is thermally expanded by the heat of friction generated by the revolution of the shaft 6 while pumping action is conducted by dimension clearance action between an outer diameter of the shaft 6 and an inner diameter of the sintered bearing 5 containing oil, the lubricating oil in the bearing oozes on a sliding surface, the shaft is smoothly turned while the oil is transmitted to the shaft 6, and the oil is carried to an oil thrower washer 12. The washer 12 is integrally rotated with the shaft 6 because it is fastened to the shaft 6 by means of a retaining ring under a condition as press-in. Thus, the lubricating oil transmitted to the washer 12 is scattered according to a shape of an outer circumference of the washer 12 by the rotatory centrifugal force action, enters to a contact sliding portion between the washer and a thrust pressure receiving plate 11, and lubricates the shaft 6.
