Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate building of a structure in soil, by a method wherein soil is frozen in such a manner that a heating section, which is one end of a heat transfer pipe, in the soil and a cooling section, which is the other thereof are positioned, in a low temperature source.
CONSTITUTION: A heat pipe 1 is located such that a heating section 1a, which is one end thereof, is placed in soil 2 scheduled for creation of land, and a cooling section 1b, being the other thereof, is placed in LNG fed through a duct 3 from a LNG tank. The cooling section 1b is provided with fins 1c. The heat pipe 1 is sealed after an operational liquid, such as ammonia, freon, etc., in a metal pipe, for example, iron, copper, etc., is exhausted once, and the cooling section 1b is located in a higher position than the heating section 1a. The heat in the soil 2 is transferred to the LNG gas 4, whereby the soil 2 is gradually reduced in a temperature and as a result water in the soil 2 is caused to freeze.
