Abstract
PURPOSE: To uniform the reduction of the whole generating surface thickness of a rotating heat pipe-regenerator and to permit the low temperature-side deposit to be readily removed by rotating the casing provided around the fixed member containing heat pipes at a prescribed speed, and performing soot blowing.
CONSTITUTION: The high-temperature gas from an inlet duct 1 supplies heat for a group of heat pipes 8 while flowing, as shown by arrows 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, and 37, before being discharged from an outlet duct 2. On the other hand, the low-temperature gas from an inlet duct 3 absorbs heat from the heat pipes 8 while passing through space 28 between the heat pipes 8. A high temperature-side casing 12 is rotated at a speed of under 360°/min, or rotated for a specified time at regular intervals by driving a pin rack 43. Soot blowing is also performed by rotating the casing for a specified time. Thus, since the low temperature-side generating surface can be moved to the high-temperature side, the thickness reduction can be uniformed, and the low temperature-side deposit can be readily removed.
