Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a work for positioning a cathode-ray tube, by providing a plurality of protrusive parts in the periphery of an annular metal, inserting the cathode-ray tube into the annular metal, which is positioned by said protrusive parts, and performing the work of positioning the cathode-ray tube. CONSTITUTION:An annular metal 10 is heated, thermally expanded and positioned by placing its protrusion 11 on a protruding portion fixture 13. Then a cathode-ray tube 1 with its picture face downward is inserted into the annular metal 10, positioned and supported to a strut for fixing a position of the cathode-ray tube. In this condition, if the annular metal 10 is cooled, the annular metal 10 is shrinked, engaged and fitted to the cathode-ray tube 1. Accordingly, the positioning work in a direction of height of the annular metal 10 is all performed on the basis of the protrusion 11, then even if a mounting lug 12 is placed in a different position, a shrinkage fit reinforcement can be performed by a same jig for fixing the annular metal in the cathode-ray tubes of same size.
