Abstract

PURPOSE: A hot-melt adhesive suitable for textile materials having a low softening temperature, improved adhesivity and durability, not permeating into fibrous construction, obtained by blending a specific amount of fluorine water repellent with a specified saturated polyester.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. saturated polyester having a melt index at 140°C 50W 300g/10min and a softening temperature 80W180°C is blended in molten state with 0.005W5pts.wt., preferably 0.1W1pt.wt. fluorine water-repellent lubricant (e.g., C7F15CH2OCOCH=CH2-polymer, etc.), which contains 3W20C fluorinated hydrocarbon group, is water-insoluble (not more than 1wt% at 25°C), and has a main transition point temperature not lower than 200°C, molecular weight 700W 20,000, and not less than 5wt% fluorine in the molecule.
EFFECT: Even a low-softening saturated polyester obtained without using a specific high-vacuum reactor can be used.
