Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to maintain high filtering performance for a long period while attaining low and even packing, by using a filter obtained by weaving ferromagnetic thin wires into a sheet of wire netting that has unevenness extending to its the outside of the surface. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic filter is made of ferromagnetic thin wires of <=6.50e coercive force anticorrosive amorphous alloy woven in a sheet of wire netting that has unevenness extending to the outside of the surface and this is wound normally in a spiral shape. In addition to said method, it is also recommended to wind spirally a stack of wirenetting sheet 7 with unevenness extending to the outer surface and wire-netting sheet 6 with no unevenness or to obtain a multilayered lamination, preventing the back flow of the fluid in the filter due to electromagnetic force or processed fluid force. The spiral structure provides an increase of rigidity in axial direction and also makes it possible to maintain the filtering performance for a long period while preventing secular deterioration in filtering performance due to the deformation of the filter.
