Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the reverse osmotic membrane excellent in the characteristic and life of the membrane, by producing the cellulose acetate having a melting point indicating a given endothermic peak and the specified degree of acetylation and polymerization. CONSTITUTION:The cellulose acetate having one endothermic peak indicating the melting point in the differential thermal analysis curve or differential scanning calorimetric analysis curve, 56-60% degree of acetylation and 150-350 degree of polymerization, is used as raw material. This raw material is produced for membrane by known casting method to obtain the semipermeable membrance excellent in the performance and durability.
