Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease corona generating discharge voltage while facilitating mounting to an electric dust collector by a mechanism wherein a thin-film anticorrosive noncrystalline alloy is cladded to a core material consisting of reinforced synthetic resin or carbon steel as a discharge electrode for the electric dust collector.
CONSTITUTION: Thin-film pieces 2 in athin-film anticorrosive noncrystalline alloy, such as Ni-Cr-Mo, Fe-Ni-Cr-Mo-(Si, B, P, C), Fe-Cr-Ni-(Si, B, P, C), etc. are attached to the opposing sides of a square pillar-shaped core material 1 consisting of reinforced synthetic resin or carbon steel in shapes that one of their portions is disposed along an axis and is mutually projected in the opposite directions. This electrode is not damaged when mounting, etc. because the noncrystalline alloy having weak mechanical strength is reinforced by the core material, and applying voltage for obtaining discharge currents may be approximately half or one third as much as the conventional devices.
