Abstract

PURPOSE: To exercise rotation control over a motor with high precision output signals of two flip-flops, for detecting which is greater between a reference pulse width signal and control signal, and its AND result.
CONSTITUTION: Input pulse width signal Tin is inputted to gate G1, and reference pulse width signal Tref to gate G2. Gates G1WG4 generate inverted signals of Tin and Tref. Signal Tin is applied to input D of D type flip-flop FF1 and clock ϕ of D type flip-flop FF2, signal Tref to clock ϕ of FF1 and input D of FF2. When signal Tin>Tref, FF1 reads the high level of Tin because Tref rises at fast timing, and FF2 reads the low level of Tref. Thus, the rotating direction of the motor is determined. The rotation of the motor is inhibited for period Tin+Tref and allowed only when there is the difference between Tin and Tref twice continuously.
