Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize the configuration of the motor and to reduce the torque ripples by using a rotor position sensing means as a speed sensing means, and making the winding current of each phase as a sine-wave current whose phase is the same as that of the induced voltage of each phase. CONSTITUTION:An output terminal 1A of a Hall element 1 and an output terminal 2B of a Hall element 2 are connected to a positive input terminal of an operation amplifier 30 through resistors 26 and 27 having equal resistance. Then, a voltage Vm becomes a mean value of the added values of the Hall element voltages V1A and V2B. The higher harmonic portions are removed and the low frequency components are obtained. The reverse phase input voltage Vn to the operation amplifier becomes also the mean value of the added values of the Hall element voltages V1B and V2A. The potential Vu which is fed back through an inverted phase input terminal reisitor 24 becomes an amplified value with a specified gain which is the difference between the voltages Vm and Vn. The phase of the potential Vu becomes the same as that of the electromotive force induced in a u-phase winding, and the u- phase winding current becomes a sine wave. The same result is obtained for the u phase and w phase. The speed can be detected by feeding the voltage across the output terminals of each Hall element through a filter FA and a Schmidt circuit SA.
