Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the power efficiency of transmission circuit and to make unnecessary the matching, by charging the capacitance of oscillator with the DC voltage from another end of coaxial cable and exciting the oscillator with rapid discharge through the conduction of thyristor with trigger signal. CONSTITUTION:DC voltage HV is fed to the oscillator TD in parallel connection with the thyristor U via the coaxial cable CBL for sufficient charging. After the end of this charging, the thyristor U is ON with the trigger signal from the circuit TRG connected to another end of cable and ultrasonic wave oscillation is produced by rapidly discharging the charge of oscillator. After this discharge, the reflection wave signal returning during restart of charging by turning-off of the thyristor is detected at the oscillator and received with the circuit RCV having the matching means via the cable. Thus, the electrostatic energy charged to the specific static capacitance of oscillator is taken as the exciting energy and no pulse is given, allowing excellent power efficiency of transmission circuit and to avoid the necessity of matching.
