Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a pump and a motor to operate respectively and provide a simplified constitution by engaging a shaft-integrated rotary slant plate to a group of pistons having the performance of a three way-switch over valve.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary slant plate 11 is integrated with a shaft 10. A piston having the performance of a three way-switch over valve is installed between ports 2 and 3 of the valve body 1. The rotary slant plate 11 is engaged with the pistons 4 through thrust bearings 13 and 15. When a high pressure liquid is introduced into the port 2, the high pressure liquid flows into an enclosed chamber 18 through a spiral groove 17, and depresses the pistons and rotates the shaft 10. If the shaft is mechanically rotated, the pistons make a reciprocating motion and eject said high pressure liquid from the enclosed chamber 18 and the port 2, thereby enables both a pump and a motor to operate, providing a simplified constitution.
