Abstract

PURPOSE: A heated aggregate is combined with a straight asphalten molten by heating and a cool powder of stone at room temperature and resin additives and they are mixed by stirring to produce the titled mixture for road pavement with good operability and no adverse effect caused by temperature changes through simple process inexpensively and harmlessly.
CONSTITUTION: A powdery substance and pieces of resin addtives are charged into hopper which has been divided into 2 sections and transferred in two portions with tube coveyor 5 and weighed with a cumulative weight meter for two kinds of substances. The weighed additives to added are sent through screw conveyor 11 and flexible hose 12 to cyclon 17 where the air of reduced pressure for conveying is removed and the substances are stored. subsequently, the heated coarse and fine aggregates is weighed with metering hopper at high temperatures 27 and the stone powder is weighed with metering feeder 20 by a prescribed amount. The stone powder is sent together with the additives to metering tank 25. The additives, heated aggregates and the stone powder are fed to mixer 29, dried and stirred. Subsequently, molten straight asphalten is fed from the asphalten feeder to the mixer and they are mixed by agitation.
