Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform the arrangement of lines in printing with slant letters easily and automatically by a method wherein a feeding quantity in the horizontal direction and a feeding quantity in the vertical direction are instructed in relation to the instruction for a lateral setting, while the feeding quantity in the horizontal direction and the feeding quantity in the vertical direction are instructed in relation to the instruction for a vertical setting, and thus printing is performed.
CONSTITUTION: When an instruction for lateral setting is given by a switch 20, gate circuits 29 and 30 are continued and the signals of lines 23 and 24 are supplied to multiplying circuits 27 and 28, while the values corresponding to formulas I and II, respectively, are instructed as feeding quantities to driving circuits 14 and 15. When an instruction for vertical setting being given by a switch 21, gate circuits 31 and 32 are continued and the signals of lines 24 and 25 are supplied to the multiplying circuits 27 and 28, and a value equal to the value instructed to the driving source 15 for vertical feeding on the occasion of the lateral-setting instruction is instructed over again to the driving source 14 for horizontal feeding, while the feeding quantity corresponding to the formula III is instructed again to the driving source 15 for vertical feeding. Based on this instructed value, the driving circuits 14 and 15 are made to act to drive a moving optical system 12 and a sensitive material drum 13, thus a line arrangement setting plate being obtained automatically.
