Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the signal level of the working noise of a tape recorder, by lowering specially the recording level using the attenuator circuit or the like when the sound pressure level applied to the incorporated mike is low.
CONSTITUTION: Record detection signal Ix is drawn out from the joint of resistances R18 and R20. Now if the base-emitter threshold voltage VBE of transistor 36 in the circuit is set to 0.6V and also pinch-off voltage -VP of FET32 is large enough with signal (e3) of zero, the source voltage Vg is several volts. In such case, the joint voltage of R18 and R20, i.e. detection signal voltage VX can be set to 0.6V or higher by setting both resistances to the proper levels. In that case, transistor 36 is turned on, and resistance R12 and R14 plus filter circuit 38 are formed into the T-type attenuator circuit. Thus the level of record output signal (e3) is attenuated. Accordingly, the signal level for the working noise of a tape recorder can be suppressed.
