Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the controllability of the pattern input device with a simple structure, by securing a conduction between the resistor layer and the conductive surface at the writing point and via the pressure-sensitive conduction sheet and then detecting the position of the resistor layer from the resistance division value of the resistor layer.
CONSTITUTION: The change-over switches S1 and S2 are switched alternately to the X and Y sides with the output of the FF30. And the voltage V1 and V2 produced from the opposite sides of the flat-plate resistor and via the load resistances RL1 and RL2 are applied to the analog adder 31 and divider 32 each. And the voltage V1/(V1+V2) is applied to the differential amplifier 33, and this output is applied to the A/D converter 34. Now if a writing is given when the belt-type electrodes X1 and X2 are connected to the resistances RL1 and RL2 each via the switches S1 and S2, the output of the level detector 35 becomes 1. As a result, the sampling pulse generator 39 is actuated via the FF36, and the output of the converter 34 is stored in the X register. After this, the switches S1 and S2 are switched to select the belt-type electrodes Y1 and Y2. And in the same way, the position of the direction of Y is stored in the Y register 43.
