Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent, in an apparatus for hollow fibers, a linear body from twisting to effectively prevent accumulated twist thereof, by winding a predetermined length of the linear body onto a reel frame and thereafter further winding the linear body in a direction opposite to that of the former winding.
CONSTITUTION: Using a guide means (not shown), a hollow fiber 2 is turned around reel frames 11a, 11b while the hollow fiber 2 is supported, so that the hollow fiber 2 is wound onto the reel frames, 11a, 11b. Thus after a prescribed number of turns of the hollow fiber 2 is wound onto the reel frames 11a, 11b, the hollow fiber 2 is traversed between the reel frames 11a, 11b to lead it from the reel frame 11b to 11a. Thereafter the hollow fiber 2 is wound onto the reel frames 11a, 11b in a direction opposite to the former winding to obtain another prescribed number of turns thereof. Preferably the change of direction of winding of the hollow fiber 2 is repeated several times. Accordingly twist or cut of the hollow fiber 2 will not occur so that it can be advantageously reeled in.
