Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a heat transfer and also to reduce a pressure loss, by a method wherein 1 or more blades, which are positioned facing and opposite to a current and in parallel to a heat transfer surface, are mounted in a current path.
CONSTITUTION: A blade 7, which is at an inclining angle α (0W30°) to a heat transfer surface 1, is placed above the heat transfer surface 1 which makes contact with a fluid flow path. A main current 4, which runs facing and opposite to the blade 7, forms an eddy 6, and a thermal boundary layer above the heat transfer surface 1 is disturbed by said eddy 6. The eddy 6 maintains its shape while it is running downward for a quite long distance, and thereby it can distrub the thermal boundary layer during said period of time. This permits the promotion of heat transfer, and enables the blade 7 to produce the eddy without producing the resistance, whereby a pressure loss can be reduced widely.
