Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable rays of two colors to be passed from both ends of an optical fiber and to be reflected and displayed by two colors of single ray from the suitable portions of the optical fiber by providing a chevron-shaped reflecting display face to the optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:Recesses of chevron-shaped A light source reflecting faces D, A light source display faces F, B light source reflecting faces E and B light source display faces G are provided to the photoconductor O of an optical fiber body C; further reflecting films N, N' are provided to the photoconductor O of the optical fiber body C. The reflecting films N, N' of the optical fiber have the characteristic of allowing the transmittance of light when rays become normal to the reflecting films N, N'; therefore, the rays H, I, J emitting from the light source A are reflected by the reflecting films N, N' on the surface of the photoconductor O, are reflected normal to the reflecting film N' on the A light source reflecting faces D, and transmit through the reflecting film N'. The rays K, L, M emitting from the light source B are also reflected by the B light source reflecting faces E and transmit through the reflecting film N'. Hence even if rays of two colors of different colors are passed from both ends of the optical fibers, the rays of two colors are displayed by the single light of two colors with one optical fiber.
