Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically adjust the level of suction mouth accurately and make it possible to dredge sludge only by controlling a hanging rope by a signal from the sludge layer sensor mounted on the suction mouth.
CONSTITUTION: The upper and the upper probe 16a, 16b of the sludge layr sensor 16 transmits a signal to the control operator 31 through cables 30a, 30b respectively. The rurn corner oscillator 32 of the rubber jint 10 and the stroke oscillator 33 of the hydraulic ram cylinder 21a also transmit a signal to the operator 31. A control signal is transmitted from the operatot 31 to the change-over valve 25 or the winch 21b, actuating either the hydraulic ram cylinder 21a or the winch 21b for controlling the length of hanging rope 6. As a result, the drag arm 3 is tilted for adjustment, and the level of the section mouth 5 is adjusted so that said level may become adequate enough for sucking and dredging only the surface sludge layer 9 above the lower sludge layer.
