Abstract

PURPOSE:To heighten the reliability and workability of the insulation treatment of the winding, by performing the insulation treatment through four processes including preparatory heating, heat retention, resin dropping, curing operation, resin coating on the ends of the winding, heating and resin setting. CONSTITUTION:A stator is preparatorily heated in a box-shaped hot air heating furnace of 130+ or -5 deg.C until the temperature of the core and winding to the stator become equal to that of the furnace. After that, the whole stator is rotated at about 15rpm, while inclined, by a dropping impregnation unit equipped with a heater for making an atmosphere of about 80 deg.C. At that time, solvent-free resin for dropping impregnation is dropped down obliquely to the outer and inner parts of the ends of the winding so that the resin is filled in the winding. The stator is then rotated in horizontal posture for about 20min. The stator is picked out of the equipment. Resin with a solvent is sprayed onto the surfaces of the ends of the winding when its temperature is about 65 deg.C, thereby coating films of about 0.1-0.15mm. in thickness on the end surfaces. The coated resin is spontaneously dried for about one hour. Finally, the resin is set by heating at a temperature of about 130 deg.C. According to this method, the reliability and the workability of the insulation treatment are heightened.
