PURPOSE:To prevent degradation of the distortion rate of the FM detection output for change of the tuning frequency, by using the voltage, which is obtained by smooothing the product output of a multiplier, to control the tuning frequency of the tuning circuit of the 90 deg. phase shifter. CONSTITUTION:90 deg. Phase shifter 3 consists of coils L1 and L2 and varactor diode D1 fundamentally, and a high-level reference voltage is applied to the cathode terminal of diode D1, and a voltage equal to the reference voltage of tuning meter 5 is applied to coil L2 as the bias voltage. In the detuning state, since the control voltage of diode D1 is increased or reduced in proportion to the degree of detuning, the capacitance of diode D1 tries to reduce and increase in proportion to it and functions to cause the turning frequency of the tuning circuit to coincide with the receiving IF frequency.
