Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide titled adhesive compsn. which has excellent initial tack strength and initial bond strength, is nontoxic and can be removed by washing even though the adhesive adheres to clothing, consisting of PVA, a silica sol liquid, water and an antiseptic agent.
CONSTITUTION: 5W50% of an alkali-dispersible silica sol liquid (a concn. of 20W 50%), 87W30% of water and a small amount of an antiseptic agent are blended with 8W18% of a polyvinyl alcohol (partially saponified). When the mixt. is boiled at a temp. of 75W85°C for 30W60min, partial agglomeration between silica sol particles and thickening occur and there can be obtd. a water-soluble adhesive having excellent initial adhesiveness and initial tack of 40,000W150,000 CPS which can not be obtd. by the polyvinyl alcohol alone.
