Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve color reproduction in special reproduction by performing the angle modulation of a luminance signal and the low frequency conversion of a chrominance signal and by recording the chrominance signal by delaying it by a constant time difference for every track. CONSTITUTION:From a reproduced signal from reproducing head 7, a luminance signal is extracted through high-pass filter 8 and frequency demodulator 10. Through low-pass filter 9 and frequency converter 11, an original chrominance signal is obtained and signals passed through delay lines 22, 23 and 24 that correspond to time lags of respective tracks set in recording and a signal sent as it is are applied to switch 25. Flip-flop 27 connected head switching-signal input terminal 26, on the other hand, supplies switch 25 with a switching signal that corresponds to the setting of time lags. Adder 12 mixes the luminance signal and chrominance signals in one and outputs a reproduced color television signal from terminal 13.
