Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a groove insulation of a good electrical insulating property and an excellent workability by a method wherein an aqueous solution of scale-like graphite and sodium silicate is applied on the inside of the groove on a rotor core and then is dried by heating. CONSTITUTION:A 50-90wt% of scale-like graphite 2, having an excellent electric insulating property and heat-resisting property, and a 5-60wt% of sodium silicate as a binding material are mixed and an aqueous solution with suitable viscosity is made by adding water. After applying said solution on the inside of the groove of a rotor core, the rotor core is dried by heating at a temperature of 100-200 deg.C and an insulating film is formed. As a result, the film which is 40mu thick or below has a sufficient insulting property and an insulating film having satisfactory hardness can be formed at a comparatively low temperature with an excellent workability.
