PURPOSE:To enable to detect accurate road surface temperature without injuring the advantage of the infrared-ray thermometer, by obtaining the temperature signal within a given range through two infrared-ray detectors and performing display if the difference of the signals is outside the set reference value. CONSTITUTION:The infrared-ray radiation thermometer 20 is mounted on the support stand 22 of the support 21, and it is provided with the two lenses 24-1, 24-2 independently receiving infrared-rays radiated from the two areas S1, S2 on the road 2a and the infrared-ray detectors 23-1, 23-2 afterwards. In front of each lens, the disc type chopper 26 is placed, and the windows 26-1, 26-2 having the size seeing through the areas S1, S2 are provided, and the infrared rays 6-1, 6-2 from each area are intermittently radiated on the detectors 23-1, 23-2 with a given period.
