Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain the effective utilization of a product gas in garbage treatment by a method wherein a gas produced by decomposing urban garbage is filled in a high pressure container and this high pressure container is mounted on a vehicle to use said gas as a fuel for driving an engine.
CONSTITUTION: The garbage (fractionated) thrown into a pit 3 from a collecting truck is mechanically sorted if necessary, and gasified by a gasifier device 4. Subsequently, said gas is sent into a gas purifying device 5 such as a scrubber or the like to remove impurities therefrom and stored in a low pressure gas holder 6. Thereafter, said gas is stored in a high pressure container 8 by a compressor 7 and supplied to a high pressure container device 12 mounted on a collecting truck 2 through a supply valve 9 and a flexible pipe 10. Thereby, an installation such as a pipe line or the like, recovery of a high pressure container or handling such as transportation can be eliminated.
