Abstract
PURPOSE: To perfectly remove harmful materials and improve safety and working efficiency by successively passing the dust-laden harmful gas through respective sections of oxidation of NO by ozones, adsorbent layers for harmful components and oxidation by catalysts of CO.
CONSTITUTION: The dust-laden harmful gas comprising essentially CO and NOX and contg. harmful gas components such as O3, HF and F2 is admitted from a line 1 into a powder dust filter section 3, where it is removed of powder dust by filter or electric dust collecting means 2, thence it is admitted into an NO oxidation section 5. Here, the NO is oxidized by O2 produced by irradiation of an ultraviolet ray lamp 4. Next, it enters an adsorption section 8 via a fan 6 (not limited of location), and in this secrion, it is removed of NO2, HF. etc. by adsorbents 7 such as active carbon. Finally, it enters an oxidation section 10, where CO is converted to CO2 by oxidation catalysts 9, and is thereby made pollution-free. This method is suited for treatment of the vapor generated at the welding work.
