Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the durability of a bucket conveyor greatly by providing notches on both side walls of a bucket near a belt from edges on the downstream side of the conveyance for reducing the distortion of these side walls even if the conveyor belt is bent like an arc.
CONSTITUTION: A bucket 3 is shaped integrally into an almost rectangular box opened upward out of elastic materials such as synthetic rubber. One of its long side walls is extended vertically and horizontally for forming a base plate 4 to be stuck to a conveyor belt 2 by adhesives. On the upper edge of another long side wall 5, a rigid cover 7 of stainless steel or the like is fitted to a thickened part 6 projected outward. Besides, on connecting parts of short side walls 8 and 8 with the base plate 4, almost U-shaped notches 9 and 9 are provided from upper edges to a fixed depth. This construction serves to prevent side wall parts from damage while maintaining the advantage of the great capacity of the bucket.
