Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease a turning radius of a machine body by a mechanism wherein a front wheel at the outside of turning is floated to the ground, interlocking with braking operation to one rear driving wheel and the turning operation of the machine body. CONSTITUTION:When turning a machine body of a tractor provided with a pair of left and right rear driving wheel 2, 2' equipped with a differential mechanism 1 and a pair of left and right front wheels 4, 4' interlocking with a handle 3, one rear driving wheel 2 or 2' is braked in response to the turning direction. At the same time, the front wheel 4 or 4' at the outside of turning is floated to the ground automatically and reversibly by means of a ground floating mechanism (not shown in the figure) formed by a brake detecting switch, a steering functioning detecting switch, an oil pressure cylinder, etc. Thus, since the tractor can automatically be varied to a three-wheel shape which only the front wheel at the inside of turning is grounded, resistance by the front wheel is reduced, and a turning radius can be lessened.
