Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure ignition upon initiation of a burner and enable to shift into vaporized combustion within a short period of time by a method wherein atomized fuel injected and diffused into a combustion cylinder is stayed in a narrow ignition promoting groove together with forced air and is prevailed uniformly in an inner peripheral portion of the conbustion cylinder rapidly.
CONSTITUTION: An ignition promoting groove 21 having an open upper surface is formed at an inner bottom of a combustion cylinder 1 along a whole periphery thereof and an ignition plug 23 is arranged just above the ignition promoting groove 21. Thereby, atomized fuel injected into the combustion cylinder 1 is guided into the narrow ignition promoting groove 21 together with forced air and can be prevailed uniformly in a whole inner periphery of the combustion cylinder 1, therefore, not only ignition upon initiation of a burner can be ensured, but also direct combustion is generated rapidly in a whole area of the combustion cylinder, thereby, a time necessary for shifting into vaporized combustion can be reduced remarkably.
