Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable, normal NTS color signal even in case of special reproduction by inverting the phase of a color signal component in a video signal in a special processing circuit. CONSTITUTION:The processing circuit for a video signal having been demodulated by demodulating circuit 15 is a time-axis correction unit and a video signal is converted by A/D converter 21 into a digital signal, which is temporarily stored in memory 22, passed through special processing circuit 23 and reconverted by D/A converter 24 into an analog video signal, so that it will be output 25 after its waveform is shaped. Special processing circuit inverts the phase of a color signal component in the video signal, and consequently when the memory operates at intervals of a subcarrier period, the subcarrier phase of the video signal read out of the memory never changes, thereby preventing a luminance signal component from moving right and left, frame by frame, by one subcarrier cycle to the contrary.
