Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove an influence of shading appearing on a picture by generating a substantial signal by subtracting a background level out of a video signal and by finding a reference comparison voltage by adjusting a signal level on the basis of the substantial signal.
CONSTITUTION: Objective pattern 412 is scanned by TV camera 411, an analog signal from which is applied to one input of differential amplifier 433 and S/H circuit 432 via analog switch 431. In accordance with the outptu of S/H region detecting circuit 416 that compares the background S/H region set in S/H region memory circuit 415 to the contents of X, Y coordinate detecting circuit 414, circuit 432 is controlled to apply the output of circuit 432 to amplifier 433, thereby outputting a substantial signal, obtained by subtracting the background level, to the output of amplifier 433. This signal is applied to S/H circuits 434W437 to generate a reference comparison voltage, which is applied to comparators 445 and 446 as a compared signal. Then, the reference comparison voltage adjusted by circuits 434W 437 is compared to the compared signal to remove an influence of shading.
