Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce a laminated sheet which excels in electrical and mechanical characteristics and can be subjected to punching at an ordinary temperature, by a method wherein base materials are impregnated with a modified phenolic resin into which a specified functional gp.-contg. acrylic vinyl polymer is introduced to impart flexibility to the resin, and the resin-impreganted materials are laminated and molded.
CONSTITUTION: There is used an acrylic vinyl polymer into which at least one functional gp. selected from amino gp., amido gp., carboxyl gp., carbonyl gp., urethane bond and active double bond in introduced. The acrylic vinyl polymer is mixed or co-condensed with a phenolic resin to obtain a modified phenolic resin. Base materials are impregnated with the modified phenolic resin which is used as a resin varnish. Then the resin-impregnated materials are laminated and molded to produce the desired laminated sheet. A suitable blending ratio of the acrylic vinyl polymer (A) to the phenol resin (as solids) (B) in the mixing or the co-condensation is 1:0.5W10 (by weight).
