Abstract
PURPOSE: To plan to make the above mentioned equipment small and to decrease the space for equipment by combining a feed link and a spot positioning latch installed on a travelling car truck and stoppers thereof provided on a rail member to travel a welding gun.
CONSTITUTION: Starting from a state that a travelling car truck 7 is at the starting position and the first spot of a work W1 is pressure welded between electrodes 21 and 62, when a cylinder rod 20 is lifted, with the turning of a feed link 28 the car truck 7 is traveled to the left against a tensile force of a weight 57, and a spot positioning latch 36 is also moved to the left while turning. When the rod 20 is then lowered, the link 28 turns and a gun cylinder 19 is set at the second spot position, and work W1 is pressure-welded between electrodes 21 and 62a. Then the same succeeding processes are conducted and, when welding the last spot is completed, the rod 20 is lifted and the car truck 7 is advanced. The latch 36 comes in contact with an automatical return stopper 45 and is turned, as is indicated with the two dotted line, and the link 28 is also turned to become lower than a feed claw stopper 35n. As a result, the car truck 7 is pulled back by the weight 57 to return to the original position.
