Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent increase of eddy current loss at an iron core and iron core legs in a static induction device by winding bandlike high magnetic permeability material having narrow width on the outer periphery of iron core legs and contact plate at the positions corresponding to the upper and the lower ends of windings. CONSTITUTION:Bandlike high magnetic permeability material 6 having narrow width is wound on the periphery of an iron core legs 1a and contact plate 3 at the positions corresponding to the upper and the lower ends of winding 2. In this manner, the leakage magnetic flux 4 from the winding 2 is not introduced directly to the contact plate 3 and the legs 1a, but to the high magnetic permeability material 6, flows peripherally, and inflows into the legs 1a in an opening. Since the portion in the opening of the iron core 1 is in laminated layer direction, no eddy current flows thereat to have no apprehension of producing local heat and increasing eddy current loss. Since magnetic flux 4 is not introduced vertically to the iron core 1 even out of the opening, no eddy current flows at this portion. Since the material 6 has narrow width, even if magnetic flux is vertically incident thereto, no eddy current flows therethrough.
