Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide copper alloy composition having excellent heat resistance, oil resistance, wear resistance, lubricating oil resistance, and excellent moldability, by mixing copper alloy powder with specific ratios of polyamide resin, reinforcing inorg. filler.
CONSTITUTION: To 40W90wt% copper alloy powder such as aluminum bronze, manganese bronze, phosphorus bronze is blended preliminarily with 60W10wt% mixture consisting of 100pts.wt. polyamide resin such as nylon 6, nylon 66, or copolymer of these nylons, 10W100pts.wt. reinforcing inorg. filler such as glass fiber, talc, silica powder in a tumbler type blender. The mixture is heated, melted, and mixed by means of a melt extruder, and cut by a cutter to form pellets. The pellets. The pellets are molded by injection molding to manufacture a composition having excellent heat resistance, oil resistance, wear resistance, lubricating oil resistance, and excellent moldability.
