Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an image retaining material superior in surface lubricity, durability, and cleanability, by forming an insulating layer consisting of a curable resin containing a lubricant and a cellulosic polymer resin.
CONSTITUTION: On the surface of the titled material an insulating layer is formed and it consists of a powder of a lubricant having a lubricating effect, such as polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride, a cellulosic polymer as a main component coatable without deteriorating effective dispersion of said lubricant particles, and electric features, and a curable resin of a molecular structure formed by introducing unsaturated groups into its molecule consisting of structural units of a resin polymerizable by energy rays, such as light or electron beams, or a thermopolymerizable resin, such as an acrylic or urethane type resin. For this cellulosic polymer, a cellulose derivative of an ester type, such as nitrocellulose, and an ether type, such as methyl cellulose are used. As a result, surface lubricity, durability, and cleanability can be enhanced.
