Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the solar heat collecting apparatus, capable of collecting solar heat in the manner most suited for the seasons of the year, by employing an arrangement in which a heat radiating portion at one end of a heat pipe is inserted into a vacuum tube in the manner that it is freely rotatable and moved relatively to a heating-medium container, so that heat collecting fins of the heat pipe can be turned to a desired angular position.
CONSTITUTION: A heat collecting element A is composed of a transparent vacuum, tube 1 opened at one end thereof, the heat pipe 3 inserted into the vacuum tube 1 which serves as heating unit, and vane type heat collecting fins 4 projected on the outside of the heat pipe 3. A solar heat collecting apparatus is constituted by fixing a multiplicity of such heat collecting elements A side by side between a heating- medium container 6 and a fixing member 11. Here, a heat radiating section 3' of the heat pipe 3 is formed to have ruggedness 5 for the purpose of increasing the heat radiating area and it is inserted into the container 6 in freely movable and rotatable manner through a threaded sleeve 7 fixed to the side wall of container 6. With such an arrangement, the heat pipe 3 is fixed firmly in place by a threaded nut 8 onto the sleeve 7 after adjusting the angle of heat collecting fins 4 to suit the altitude of the sun.
